FREE ADVICE FOR BROXTOWE BUSINESSES GETS THE THUMBS UP

Following its launch in 2015, Broxtowe Borough Council’s online business advice service with Mi Ventures has been helping local businesses to prepare them for starting up or expanding.

Any business looking to benefit from the free business advice can visit www.broxtowe.gov.uk/businessadvice and receive support from experienced business advisors on a range of topics from writing a business plan to marketing and financial bookkeeping.

The service was set up in partnership with Mi Ventures, an online business advice service that works with local authorities, libraries and business centres across the UK to support start-ups via live chat online.

Residents and prospective businesses in Broxtowe area can chat online instantly with professional business advisors in real-time without the need to travel anywhere. They can access the service via the Broxtowe Borough Council website. They can verify that they are a resident within the district by entering their postcode.

Entrepreneurial residents and business owners from around Broxtowe have spoken of the ‘great, helpful and efficient advice’ and how the service has ‘really helped [them] out as you can end up going round in circles trying to get things organised.’ Over 90% of those who had used the service either before starting a business or during their first year would recommend it to others and would use it again.
